    The-Church-in-the-Wildwood by Code Arachnid.

    You have to admire what the photographer decided to do in this shot of the Church in the Wildwood.  This is a very nice view of the church from a classic wide angle.  If I’m not mistaken, there’s a Richmond bank a couple of blocks away from where this photo was taken.     In the distance, you can see some of the old Circuit City office buildings.  This is behind the office park at Westerre Parkway, home to several fabulous businesses.  Sometimes you can spy turtles sunning themselves. geese feeding and preening, and the occasional water bird like a heron or something.  It’s all very tranquil.  They put that fountain in there so much doesn’t grow on top.  Nice.

    Hotel-John-Marshall by Code Arachnid.

    According to the photographer, this shot of the John Marshall Hotel was taken from the top of the Media General building.  It’s not too far from a couple of Richmond personal injury law firm buildings.  You’ll notice the unique shadow that this building casts on the inner portion of itself.  You can only see this type of shadow if you capture the building at a specific time of day and from a very precise angle.
